Bill Granger Lunch at HIX Oyster and Fish House
The sun was shining on The Cobb as Australian chef, food writer and restaurateur Bill Granger arrived for lunch at the HIX Oyster and Fish House to promote his new cook book Feed Me Now, published by Quadrille.
The lunch was the first event in the Master Classes and Supper Clubs programme, which welcomes well-known faces from the world of food, art and literature to the Fish House. It was a huge success, with all the tickets selling out in advance.
Guests enjoyed a four course lunch of salt and pepper prawns, fettuccine with asparagus pesto, whole baked bream with lemon potatoes, finished off with a delicious strawberry vacherin—all taken from Bill’s new cookbook.
Bill welcomed the guests with a talk about his life, his restaurants, his ethos on food & eating and then chatted with everyone individually throughout the afternoon, signing cookbooks and posing for photos.
The next event to take place at the Fish House is amaster class in British cheese on May 26th, hosted by expert Juliet Harbutt. Tickets are on sale from Jo Verberne.
