Mark Hix will be demonstrating dishes from his British Seasonal cookbook at Feast of Dorset food and drink festival later this year. The festival will showcase the best of local, sustainable and traditional West Country produce and rural life, in a stunning setting at harvest time.
Highlighting the start of this year’s British Food Fortnight, the festival will feature the region’s food and drink producers, chefs and gardeners, with cooking and horticultural demonstrations, performing artists and other traditional rural attractions.
A wide range of exhibitors will present their products in a tented village, ranging from the colourful ‘Grand Bazaar’, to a variety of styled canvas pavilions, sited throughout the ancient gardens of Deans Court, Wimborne Minster.
A full programme of educational and leisure attractions will include jousting, falconry, archery, and specialist on-site demonstrations on cookery, growing organic vegetables, using herbs, beekeeping, fly-fishing and orchard maintenance
