I recently went on a trip to Istanbul – a city with lots of buzz and steeped in history and one full of contrasts, old versus new, tradition versus modern. If you’re thinking of going here are some reccommendations (click on the links under Travel).

I stayed in Sultanahmet one of the oldest districts in the city that was the heart of both Byzantium and Ottoman Empire so packed with fantastic architecture and grand places of worship. Is also well located in terms of getting to other districts of the city.
