Karakoy Fish Market
The Fish Market at Karakoy is home to a couple of simple stalls selling deep fried anchovies and grilled mackerel which is served up in a bread roll with crispy lettuce and the juice of an orange quarter. The fish here is so fresh it’s still writhing and you can sit and watch the locals fishing off the bridge and on the waters edge and then selling their catch to the market. At a little stall in the market I had some delicious deep fried anchovies served with a wedge of orange.
