Jo Harris
Jo has worked within the restaurant industry throughout the last twenty years, in restaurants front and back of house, events and ‘behind the scenes’ in the office. Originally wanting to be a chef and own her own restaurant, Jo changed direction after her A levels and studied at the University of Manchester, obtaining her degree in Media, Business Studies and IT. Having trained there as a journalist she then decided that it was still the restaurant industry that interested her the most!
After graduating and spending some time in Australia, she then worked in London for three years as an events organiser before moving to Caprice Holdings where she worked for eight years as PA to the CEO and Mark Hix who was Chef Director for the group.
Jo also re-launched Caprice Events with her colleague in 2003 and ran numerous high profile events until they merged with Urban Caprice a year later.
Jo left Caprice Holdings in March 2008 to continue her role with Mark and Restaurants Etc Ltd. Jo has a varied role as Group operations manager and Mark's 'right arm' overseeing all aspects of the group, assisting Mark and Ratnesh with the day-to-day running of the company.
