Lee Potter Cavanagh
Our Group Bar Manager Lee Potter Cavanagh has worked in bars since the summer of 2001. Having spent his early days in nightclubs and beachfront bars he discovered a passion for working the bar when at Hugo’s Bar Pizza in 2005. He is now the Group Bars Manager for the HIX Food Etc group. Previously Lee worked and managed some of Australia’s most awarded cocktail bars, including The Victoria Room, Lotus, Hemmesphere & The Rum Diaries.
Lee has competed and placed in numerous high profile competitions including 1st in the UK Bulldog gin competition 2012, top 4 UK Gin Mare competition 2012, 3rd in the Appleton Bartender Challenge UK 2012, Global Top 8 Belvedere's Dream Job Competition 2010, Australian Top 10 Diageo’s World Class 2009, and Australian Bartender Magazine's Top 10 2009, 2010 & 3rd in 2011.
Lee's passion for bartending has led him to present at Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans, the Museum of Sydney, host the Australia-wide, yearly bartender competition “Coney Island Bartender Bumfight” from 2009 and resulted in an appointment as Australia’s ambassador for punch by a rum brand from Nicaragua in 2009.
Lee is now very excited by the challenge of leading the bar teams at one of the premier groups of bars and restaurants in the UK.
